Level 3

Fireball [Fireball]: 8d6 of pure destruction. This spell is why 90% of wizards are wizards.
Fly [Fly] ©: Fly throwing fireballs while laughing wickedly. Yes………….
Cast Curse [Bestow Curse] ©: A curse on time takes away a lot of nonsense. The scaling of the spell is very good and its effects very versatile.
Gift of tongues [Tongues]: Understands any type of language.
Counterspell [Counterspell]: If there are many enemies that cast spells, this ability is necessary.
Clairvoyance [Clairvoyance] ©: Incredible for investigating the surroundings.
Accelerate [Haste]: Especially useful for assisting the group's tanks or melee.
The rest of the spells at this level are situational but extremely useful as the situation requires. Dispel Magic, Leomund's Safe Haven, Greater Image, Hypnotic Pattern are honorable mentions.

Level 4

Wall of Fire ©: You can enclose people in a ring of fire that burns them little by little or block a place with a wall of fire. The versatility and control of this spell is exceptional.
Greater Invisibility ©: Instead of 1 hour as Invisibility, in this case it is 1 minute, but you can cast spells and attack without breaking invisibility.
Otiluke's Elastic Sphere [Otiluke's Resilient Sphere] ©: Literally a pokeball. This spell gives you the ability to control an enemy or hide an ally for a limited time.

Level 5

Creation [Creation]: A lot of versatility when using this spell. You can create anything 5ft. The counterpart is that it takes 1 minute to launch.
Immobilize Monster [Hold Monster] ©: Another excellent control spell. Very effective against enemies that lack wisdom.
Rary's Telepathic Bond ®: If forming a cult and communicating telepathically has been one of your goals, this spell is essential.
Telekinesis [Telekinesis] ©: Instead of bending spoons, you can move gigantic rocks, huge trolls, psychopathic gnomes ...
Wall of Force ©: A great way to tag yourself a Thieves tools 5e and shout "YOU CAN'T PASS!"
Wall of Stone ©: Technically worse than Wall of Stone . However, if you keep it for its entire duration, it becomes permanent.
Level 6
Contingency [Contingency]: You can prepare ambushes, become invisible if you are attacked, throw disintegrate the first one who touches you. The limit is your own paranoia.
Disintegrate [Disintegrate]: The spell's name says it all.
Piercing Look [Eyebite]: The equivalent of casting an evil eye in D&D. Literal and immediate.
True Vision [True Vision]: Best to determine if the oasis is actually an oasis.
Otto's Irresistible Dance [Otto's Irresistible Dance] ©: You produce the same effect on enemies as if they were listening to their favorite song.
