A group of student entrepreneurs has launched a variety of plant pots made from recycled plastic found in the Sheffield River.Dominic Lewis, Oscar Keenan, Max Sudbury and Tommy Linnett have come up with ideas for the business during the lockdown. slotxo

The first 20 pots, made using a home press and panini blender, sold out in 37 minutes.Sheffield students Hallam said part of their goal is to help clean up green spaces.he students collaborated with the Don Catchment Rivers Trust, which assisted in the collection of materials.

The plant pot consists of a plastic drip tray made of high-density polyethylene found in bottle caps and milk cartons collected from the river.The pot is made from a unique blend of jesmonite and glass.Jesmonite is a completely water-based and environmentally friendly concrete alternative.

Each pot, containing 520 grams of recycled material, sells for £30, with 5% of the proceeds going to charity.Dominic, Max and Oscar are studying product design while Tommy is studying marketing.All four have set up businesses as part of the organizational placement year run by the university.
