Undermining the county council's claim that it was untenable. Steve Gill said a sewer near his home in Chard, Somerset, was blocked by soil before the June floods. slotxo Residents reported flooding as high as 4 feet (1.2) to their homes. At the time, Somerset County Council said the flooding was not preventable. It is currently under investigation and said it did not want any advance conclusions. Cabinet member for Highways John Woodman previously said that drains and sewers are inspected regularly |
